The social network
September 30 2011
Last night was spent in the company of BIG - Brighton Illustrators Group. Carl was on a panel discussion and audience Q&A talking about the way creatives use social media technologies as both a communications tool and a creative weapon. Great talks from illustrator Sarah McIntyre & Ross Breadmore from Nixon Mcinnes.Carl even got to tell his twitter joke (get ready to groan).
Man goes to the doctors "Doctor, Doctor, I think I’m addicted to twitter"
Doctor says "sorry, I don’t follow you"

Chavs
September 14 2011
Here’s snap of some of the design team like you’ve never seen them before. Gone are the 3 haircuts in one, the drainpipe jeans rolled to the ankles, checkered shirts and clever slogan t.shirts. On with hoodies, trackie bots and white sneakers. This was all in aid of a video shoot for Scholastic in New York for the forthcoming book trailer, i-Boy - a story about a boy who gets an iPhone lodged in his head, which gives him super iPhone powers! Yep you heard right - find out more here. www.amazon.co.uk/iboy
...oh, and did you know where the word 'Chav' comes from? There are a couple of theories: 1. A Chavie is a gypsy word and means a young man or teenager coming into prime 2. CHAV is said to be a Police radio call: Council House And Violent.

If you happen to arrive in Brighton via the wonderful* rail network system and look upwards you should be lucky enough to see a banner we have designed for Wired Sussex. See some pics on their Flickr site here.
*yer alright - not always wonderful. In fact often really very annoying.
Nice bit of print
September 26 2011
We love a bit of print on paper at Crush towers. So the delivery of 2 print jobs in one day caused a lot of studio excitement as everyone pawed over the Crafts Club handbook we designed for the Craft Council and a new report designed for Culture 24. Case studies for both brands will be live on our site very soon.
Live life adventurously
September 22 2011
We are delighted to announce that the tree top adventurers Go Ape have selected us as their new creative agency for 2011/2012. Yesterday was spent swinging, climbing and zipping through the trees in Bedgebury forest (which is just one of their 27 sites across the UK) then talking about design and marketing plans for forthcoming seasons.
Time to crack open a bottle of chimpagne I think. (sorry - no more ape gags allowed)
