In January 2009 we were delighted to hear that we had been appointed to the Arts Council England’s first formal design roster. Here are a few projects we have worked on in 2009 and 2010; We created 9 fully interactive PDFs for Arts Council England’s capital funding programme. The design needed to be in line with Arts Council England  branding and look creative, contemporary and representative of a forward thinking arts organisation. The target audience was staff, organisations and individuals working on capital build projects.

Artsmark is a national award scheme that encourages schools to consider the opportunities they offer in art, dance, drama and music. Our role for 2009 was to develop a simple sophisticated identity appropriate for use on award certificates and event based print items such as invitations and programmes. The handcrafted type was printed in a gold metallic ink on recycled uncoated stock to give the items a luxurious feel.

As 2010 is the 10th anniversary of the Artsmark award scheme, the identity took on a celebratory feel with colourful confetti-like graphic elements running through the design. We were commissioned to design the 10th anniversary logo and event collateral and a 15 minute film. We spent a week traveling up and down the country talking to children and teachers about the influence the arts have on education.
